CODY, Wyo. — Police are looking for a man who broke into a pharmacy and made off with prescription drugs.
Wednesday’s burglary of the Medical Center Pharmacy on Yellowstone Avenue in Cody marks the second time in five months that the pharmacy has been burglarized.
Cody Police Chief Perry Rockvam said the burglar gained entry into the pharmacy at around 11:20 p.m. by breaking the front window.
Wednesday’s burglary follows a similar one that occurred at the same pharmacy on Dec. 21 at 1:17 a.m. That intruder also gained access by breaking the front window.
Police declined to say what type of medication and how much was stolen in either burglary.
Police are looking for a right-handed white man, around 20 years old, with a slender build and dark shaggy hair.
Surveillance cameras show him wearing dark jeans, tennis shoes and a dark, hooded jacket.
The man is around 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs between 160 and 185 pounds. He was carrying a backpack with reflective material during the incident.
Rockvam said it was unknown if the two crimes were committed by the same person. Police may release surveillance photos from both incidents soon.
Anyone with information is asked to call Cody Police Detective Jason Stafford at 307-527-8720.
