GILLETTE, Wyo. — People younger than 18 may no longer use or possess electronic cigarettes in Gillette.
The Gillette City Council voted unanimously on Tuesday to tighten the existing city ordinance.
The council in March had made it illegal for those under 18 years to use or possess electronic cigarettes if they contained a tobacco derivative.
Gillette City Attorney Charlie Anderson says the new ordinance makes possession of electronic cigarettes illegal for young people regardless whether they have a nicotine product or anything else inside.
