Grizzly bear moved in Wyoming for foraging through garbage

  • Updated

CODY, Wyo. — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has relocated a sub-adult female grizzly bear that had been foraging through garbage in developed areas.

The bear was captured Thursday in the area of the South Fork of the Shoshone River drainage to prevent a possible confrontation with humans.

The bear was moved to a remote area of the Shoshone National Forest around the Clarks Fork River.
