JACKSON - Patagonia, a manufacturer of outdoor gear and clothing, is giving the Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance a $6,000 grant to use on behalf of wildlife.

The Jackson Hole Conservation Alliance is pressing for protection of wildlife habitat in the Jackson Hole area and in the southern part of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Kristy Bruner of the alliance said the grant is particularly timely because revision of Jackson's comprehensive plan is ongoing.

Patagonia awarded the money as part of the company's wildlife initiative, called Freedom to Roam.
