JACKSON — A former nursing aid at a long-term care facility has been charged with six counts of felony sexual assault for allegedly fondling a female patient.

The man, whose identity remains withheld until the case is bound over to District Court, faces allegations stemming from three incidents in 2004 and 2005 when the man worked at the St. John's Living Center, according to court documents file Thursday by Teton County prosecutors.

The patient involved has dementia, according to the charging documents.

The six third-degree sexual assault charges each carry a maximum punishment of 15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
