GILLETTE — A Gillette man used a Samurai sword to defend himself against another man who burst into his apartment.
The Gillette News-Record reports that a 21-year-old man forced his way into another man's apartment at about 10:35 p.m. Friday. Police say the intruder was drunk, and thought he was entering his own apartment.
The 25-year-old man in the apartment grabbed a Japanese-style Samurai sword from a closet to fend off the intruder.
The 21-year-old received a cut to his hand and received several stitches at a local hospital. He was then booked into jail on a misdemeanor charge of criminal entry.
