CASPER, Wyo. -- The Nicolaysen Art Museum recently received a $5,000 grant from the Tonkin Foundation to fund educational programs through the Discovery Center, according to NIC Development Director Amanda Helm.

The funds will help offset the operating costs for programs such as Art's Cooler Homeschooler, Teen Afternoons: Somethin' to Do, as well as the NCHS Art Gala, Summer Art Camp and NIC Fest educational activities.

The Tonkin Foundation was established by Tom and Helen Tonkin to provide benefits to organizations with educational purposes directed at youths in Wyoming, with special emphasis on those in Casper.
