Try 1 month for $5

CASPER — Prosecutors in Casper allege that two men used an Internet classified advertising site to help carry out the rape of a woman this month.

Twenty-six-year-old Ty Oliver McDowell of Casper faces three counts of first-degree sexual assault, one count of aggravated kidnapping and one count of aggravated burglary.

Twenty-seven-year-old Jebidiah James Stipe of Twentynine Palms, Calif., is charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree sexual assault.

District Attorney Michael Blonigen says the charges stem from activities that started with the use of the Internet site Craigslist. Blonigen on Monday said he couldn't provide details of the allegations against the men until a preliminary hearing next week.

A call to McDowell's public defender wasn't immediately returned.
