CHEYENNE - Don't drive on the ice covering Wyoming's reservoirs.
That's the advice of the Wyoming Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources. The state agency said a pickup truck and two all-terrain vehicles already have fallen through the ice at Boysen Reservoir this winter.
Pressure ridges have developed in the ice at several Wyoming reservoirs. Park officials say those ridges can cause ice to become thin and weak in spots - too weak to support a car, pickup or ATV.
A Cheyenne man died last winter after his ATV fell through the ice at Glendo Reservoir.
