CHEYENNE — Police in Cheyenne plan to be out in force this weekend to target underage drinking during spring break.
Sgt. Rob Dafoe of the Cheyenne Police Department said extra officers will be on the job Friday and Saturday. He said plainclothes officers will be in bars looking to bust underage drinkers.
Police officers will also team up with community coalition partners to patrol and respond to reports of underage drinking parties.
In addition to Cheyenne Police Officers, the two-day patrol will include off-duty Air Force security forces volunteers and members of the Citizens on Patrol group. There will be a dozen extra people on patrol each night.
