CHEYENNE - The Wyoming Public Service Commission has approved a 25 percent decrease in natural gas rates for Cheyenne Light, Fuel and Power customers.
It is the second consecutive gas rate decrease for Cheyenne Light in as many months.
The decrease means the average Cheyenne residential bill for November will be about $18 less than before.
Cheyenne Light says it anticipates winter heating bills will still be 20 to 25 percent higher than last year. But it's a big improvement from industry predictions of 80 percent increases a few months ago.
