ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. -- A Rock Springs woman was killed early Tuesday morning after she reportedly fell out of the door of a moving pickup truck and was run over.

Storey Ice, 21, was riding in the passenger side of a 2003 Dodge pickup about 1:30 a.m. in the Yellowstone Road area north of Rock Springs, according to a Sweetwater County Sheriff's Department media release. When the truck started moving erratically, Sweetwater County sheriff's deputy Jason Mower began following the vehicle, according to the release.

Mower then reportedly saw Ice start to fight with the passenger in the center seat of the truck, 32-year-old Jaime Shoemaker of Rock Springs.

Suddenly, Mower saw the truck's passenger door open, and Ice reportedly fell out and was run over by the truck's right rear tire.

Ice was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs, where she was officially declared dead.

The driver of the pickup, 34-year-old Brett Sisemore of Rock Springs, was arrested for driving under the influence and has been freed on a $2,000 bond.

No other charges have yet been filed, though county detectives are continuing their investigation of the incident.

The sheriff's department says it will release more information later this week, such as how fast the truck was going.
