RAWLINS — Workers have demolished the Saratoga hot springs bathhouse as part of a renovation project.
The $650,000 renovation of the Saratoga Hobo Hot Pool is slated for completion sometime next April.
In addition to the new bathhouse, the project includes the construction of a “not-so-hot” pool and handicap-accessible ramps. Renovations are funded by $599,000 in state grants and $51,320 from in-kind services.
The Rawlins Daily Times reports the hot pool itself remains open for now. Officials say the pool could be closed intermittently as work progresses, but should generally remain accessible.
