CASPER — Authorities continued to search Wednesday for a convicted felon who checked out of Casper Reentry Center on Tuesday and never returned.
Douglas Wilson, 53, left the facility Tuesday morning, reportedly going to the Natrona County Library. He was due back by 2:30 p.m., but never showed.
Wilson was taking part in the program as part of his conviction for aggravated assault in Laramie County, Sgt. Mark Sellers said. He had been at the center since March.
Wilson was sentenced in 2005 to seven to 10 years in the Wyoming State Penitentiary, according to Melinda Brazzale, public-information officer with the Wyoming Department of Corrections.
He is about 6 feet tall, weighs roughly 220 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone with information about Wilson’s possible whereabouts is asked to call the Natrona County Sheriff’s Office at 307-235-8278 or contact local law enforcement.
