MINNEAPOLIS — The search for two skiers in Grand Teton National Park is hitting home for two Minnesota families.
One of the skiers missing since last weekend is Afton native Greg Seftick. The 31-year-old is a doctor in Columbia Falls, Mont.
His parents, Dan and Sue Seftick, flew to Wyoming Wednesday morning.
Greg Seftick was a friend and high school classmate of Jon Francis, of Stillwater, who was 24 when he disappeared in 2006 while hiking in the Idaho mountains. His remains were found a year later.
His father, David Francis, spoke with Seftick's father Tuesday night. He says they're dealing with "deep sorrow" and uncertainty. He says they're fortunate the National Park Service is leading the search. He says the park service is "world class" in supporting families of missing people.
