CHEYENNE - A storm dropped up to 6 inches of snow in the Cheyenne area, closing a 130-mile stretch of westbound Interstate 80 from Pine Bluffs to Arlington.

The interstate was reopened by 11 a.m. Friday.

The same storm that dropped up to a foot of snow in the Bighorn Mountains on Thursday moved into southeastern Wyoming overnight.

The National Weather Service reported from 3 to 6 inches of snow in the Pine Bluffs, Wheatland, Cheyenne, Laramie and Encampment areas on Friday morning.
