LARAMIE - A Laramie man is proposing to build a day care center with help from $3 million in state funds.
Kerry Greaser owns a day care center in Laramie called Basic Beginnings. The center serves about 160 children but has had more than 250 children on a waiting list.
Greaser said he would seek the state funding through the Wyoming Business Council.
Greaser told the City Council on Tuesday that he would be willing to put up $300,000 to match any state funding for his proposal.
The council hasn't decided whether to sponsor an application for a Business Council grant. The next deadline for Business Council funding will be in early March.
