CASPER, Wyo. - The Wyoming Republican Party intends to elect a new committeeman to represent the state on the Republican National Committee.
The state party announced Monday that former National Committeeman Diemer True resigned from his position on Dec. 1.
True says he resigned to devote more time to oil and gas and ranching businesses he started recently. He said he had served as national committeeman since 2002.
Diana Vaughan is state chairman of the Wyoming Republican Party. She says electing a new national committeeman will be a transparent process open to any registered Republican male in the state. The election is tentatively set for Feb. 13 in Cheyenne.
