CHEYENNE, Wyo. - The Catholic Diocese of Cheyenne's new bishop will be ordained Wednesday.
A ceremony will be at 2 p.m. at the Cheyenne Civic Center for the Most Rev. Paul Etienne. Pope Benedict XVI appointed Etienne to the post in October.
The Diocese of Cheyenne covers the state of Wyoming and includes more than 52,000 Catholics.
The ordination ceremony will include a grand procession of 180 bishops, abbots, priests and deacons.
Archbishop Pietro Sambi, the Pope's representative to the United States, and Archbishop Charles Chaput, Archbishop of Denver, will install Etienne as the bishop for Wyoming.
Etienne previously served as pastor of two Indiana churches and in other church positions.
