The new snow has elevated the threat of avalanches in parts of the mountains.

The avalanche danger remained high in the Tetons, the Salt and Greys area as well as in the Medicine Bow National Forest on Tuesday. The threat was rated as moderate in the Continental Divide/Togwotee Pass area.
