CODY - A 12-year-old girl was injured Sunday after wrecking a vehicle she was driving in rural Park County.
The girl lost control of a 2003 Ford Explorer while driving south on Lane 191/2, according to a statement released Monday by the Park County Sheriff's Office.
The vehicle rolled 21/2 times and came to rest on its roof. The girl, whose name was not released because she is a juvenile, was ejected from the vehicle. She was the only occupant.
She was taken by ambulance to West Park Hospital in Cody where she was treated for minor injuries and released, the statement said.
The girl was cited for lacking a valid driver's license, traveling too fast for conditions and failure to wear a seat belt. She was released to her parents' custody.
Further information on the incident was not immediately available.
