DECATUR, Ga. (AP) - An argument that apparently got out of hand led to a shooting that left four people dead and two wounded, one critically, police said. Officers searched for a suspect Friday.
The shooting occurred late Thursday in an apartment, where witnesses said the victims were watching the NBA playoff game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the San Antonio Spurs.
Officers would not say what the argument was about or whether it was over the game, which was won by the Spurs 110-82. They said they think one man is responsible for the shooting.
All the victims were between 18 and 30, said DeKalb County police Lt. L.J. Florea. Their names were withheld until relatives were notified.
One of the injured was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The other was shot in the arm and treated at the scene.
A gun was found inside the apartment, but authorities did not immediately know if whether it was the murder weapon.
Decatur is about 10 miles east of Atlanta.
