I would like to respond to Denise Boggs' letter "Jesus would be appalled by Trump" (The Billings Gazette, Sept. 12, 2018).
I would say that Boggs needs to go to her Bible and read Matthew 7:1-5 and Luke 6:41-42. If Boggs so believes the teachings of Christ, she will certainly understand his teachings concerning judgement of others. As Jesus said to the Pharisees, "He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone."
If Boggs believes that she can relegate Trump and his supporters to hell, as I understand her insinuation, is it possible that she may be the one that is in for a rude awaking? Jesus is not appalled with any one of us, as he loves all people. While it is true that we will all stand before him one day for judgment, it will be his judgement, not others.
