I am writing in support of Colette Davies, candidate for District Court Judge in Yellowstone County, Department 7.
My fortunate opportunity to get to know Davies is thanks to our shared involvement with Family Service, which works to prevent hunger, homelessness and poverty in Yellowstone County. Davies has been an active and important part of Family Service since 2012. She volunteers her time often and encourages her family to volunteer, taking on some of our less “glamorous” tasks.
Davies served on our foundation board for three years and later joined our agency board of directors in 2015. She demonstrates active dedication to our community, taking on leadership roles in fiduciary responsibilities, but is also willing to work in a hands-on capacity, packaging food boxes and hanging used clothing.
Davies listens closely, researches extensively and is an active problem solver. When she commits to doing something, she does it well. She is reasoned, realistic and idealistic in the best of ways. She is generous with her good ideas, time and talent.
Since past actions often predict the future, my experience dictates that Davies, if elected, will rule on cases with intelligence, compassion and reason. She will make an excellent judge for Yellowstone County.
