Once again, I am chastising the Billings Gazette for presenting an opinion article as objective news on page two of the Aug. 9 issue: "GOP promotes fear in key elections." Any engaged reader would discern from this title that the article reflects the opinions of the writers, not objective reporting.

Critical of the Republican party's tactics throughout, the writers offer a token criticism of the Democrats in the last paragraph, but only because they distanced themselves from Obamacare , "the most significant health care legislation since the creation of Medicare and Medicaid." The article would be fine on the opinion page, but to present such bias as hard news is deceptive. And yes, the irony is thick enough to cut with a knife, since many Democrats and many in the media have considered Trump the Great Satan since he upset Hillary Clinton in 2016. Those folks are the experts in fearmongering.
