The former Montana State University Billings provost is on the job for only 40 days, but gets paid $162,000 for a full year (The Billings Gazette, Aug. 31). Also the dean of students at the University of Montana left her position earlier in the month, but will continue to be paid through June 2019.
Looks to me like something is wrong here. Where is the justification for this? How about some follow-up on this story and an honest explanation from those involved? I just wonder how many more deals like this we never hear about. Those responsible for allowing these situations may be highly educated, but not very smart.
