In the '50s, my generous-but-frugal father took the family out to a restaurant on special occasions. Before ordering, Father would announce, "Order what you like, but eat what you order."
During my lifetime, I didn't follow his instructions and ordered and used more of earth's resources than I needed, wasting a lot of it.
We can change! A "Solar Power for Faith-based Buildings" workshop sponsored by Eco-Angelas of Angela’s Piazza and Presbyterians for Earth Care at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church will be held at 10 a.m. till noon, on Saturday, Jan. 12, at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church. Information on installing solar power and upcoming legislation to benefit those who are retrofitting buildings will be presented. The workshop is free and open to the public.
In Billings we have lots of sunshine. Using the gift of light will result in more for all, a worthy goal for 2019.
