The issues we are all struggling with is licensing or new title work for our vehicles. We have one location in Billings and a small location in Laurel. As in the early 2000s, we had to close the second location in Lamplighter Mall.
Next issue is having only one location to have our drivers license renewed or getting a first-time license. You need to make an appointment but The Gazette's Opinion page is saying two months is not enough notice.
We have three schools between 40th Street West and 58th Street West on Grand Avenue and only one turn lane at Ben Steel. As taxpayers we paid for this turn lane but the private schools have no turn lane.
We have bicyclists using West Grand Avenue and there is no shoulder on the road and the speed limit is between 45 to 55 miles an hour for the few drivers that follow the speed limit. This speed limit changes to 55 at 64th Street West and it is higher than on Airport Road which has a wide shoulder for bicyclists to ride. We need to keep everyone safe.
At least the City Council finally voted no on One Big Sky Center which I believe would have been one bad scenario. We missed our version of the Hardin jail. But how much of our taxpayers money was spent on this project?
We as taxpayers want to support our city services but we would truly appreciate all working within their budgets and not always coming back to the taxpayers for more money. We on Social Security have no more to give and still cover our basic needs to live in our home we raised our families in.
