Thank you, thank you, thank you. The Friends of Billings Public Library held their Fall Used Book Sale Oct. 12-14, and what a sale it was. People of all ages, with all sorts of bags and carrying cases to pack books in, came from everywhere for this important fundraiser, and it was one of our best sales ever in the new library.
The success of this fundraising event is shared by many, and we would like to take this time to thank everyone who makes this sale possible — from the generosity of the community in donating books year round to all of the Friends' volunteers who work feverishly sorting, shelving, hauling and setting up these books for our sale. And a special thank you to The Gazette for covering the sale and getting the word out to the public. Without the donations, the volunteers and the media coverage, we could not carry out such a successful sale.
We also thank all of our members whose continued support through their membership fees greatly adds to our ability to accomplish our mission. Proceeds from the sale and membership fees are used to help promote and enhance library usage and literacy throughout the community. Again, thank you, thank you, thank you.
