I'm very disappointed in the article written about the storm drain on Nov. 27. The article did not show the damage the City of Billings has done in not being proactive in fixing the issue or preventing it to get worse.
In the end of May through July, many houses were flooded and stayed so due to the collapse of these drains. Water would keep flooding in to our houses even though multiple pumps were installed just to keep the water down to a few inches in our homes in the Kings Green area.
The city refused to research the issue until end of June when KULR-8 was the only news station to pick up our calls. It is November and now the city is finally coming up with a solution? Ridiculous! This caused thousands of dollars in damage to homes as well as mold issues that are residing now in our houses. We are still struggling to fix this aftermath. I suggest next time to do better research as this drainage issue affected many homes and was not just contained to the ditch as evident in the emails to city council that fell on deaf ears.
I am very disappointed and expected more from The Gazette on researching all sides of the issue.
