Joseph Mironack (April 22 letter) doesn’t seem to understand the difference between fact and opinion. He supports his ideas with his opinions or those of Fox news. First he implies that Obama strayed in his marriage by removing his ring. Wow! Wasn’t it Trump who was married three times, had between 16 and 23 women accuse him of sexual harassment or assault, and paid two women to hide his affairs? Next he suggests that Obama and Hillary Clinton don’t care about the loss of American lives. He mentions the four Americans who were killed in Benghazi. While there is no one who isn’t sad about the loss of American lives, he fails to mention the 1 1/2-year investigation by the Republican controlled Benghazi Select Committee, $7 million in tax money spent, or the 800-page report that concluded that Obama and Clinton weren’t guilty of anything.
Another claim was that Obama didn’t care about the lives of border agents or immigrants, but wasn’t it was Trump who separated 2,737 children from their families, placed many in cages, failed to reunite some kids with their family, and had two children die while in custody according to a government report? Didn’t Trump try to ban Muslim people, and veto a bipartisan congressional vote that called for the U.S. to withhold support from the Saudi war in Yemen? The UN called the war the worst humanitarian crises in the world. It seems as if Trump is the one who doesn’t care about human life especially if the humans have darker skin.
I would rather my grandkids look up to Obama and Clinton than look up to Trump.
