We can observe Montana Legislative hearings and floor action via TV, computer or attend in person. Listening to testimony by our fellow Montana citizens, along with questions raised by committee members and the give-and-take during second reading is quite illuminating.
Living in Montana, there are many more enjoyable ways to spend a few hours, but ignore state law making at your own peril.
Legislators are to be commended for their work representing their constituents. It is a difficult job, requiring wisdom, patience, persistence, tact, research, long hours and willingness to compromise.
The Legislature is half over, still time to check it out. What you observe, may affect your vote in 2020.
