Elk River

Sharon Scharosch poses with a fat Elk River cutthroat trout caught on a July trip to British Columbia. She will talk about the trip at the next meeting of the Magic City Fly Fishers.

A July trip to Fernie, British Columbia, with a group of women to fish several prime trout streams will be the topic of a presentation at the Magic City Fly Fishers meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 5.

Sharon Scharosch and Terri Hogan will talk about the opportunities available to women, both experienced and beginners in fly fishing, throughout Montana and the Rocky Mountain region. The meeting starts at 6:45 p.m. and for this time only is at Scheel’s second-floor conference center.

Red Fat Albert

The Red Fat Albert is great fly on the Elk River.

Yellowstone River guide Jeremy Gilbertson opens the meeting with a demonstration of flies that anglers should consider for this type of fly-fishing trip. Everyone attending the meeting receives a free dry fly and free entry for door prizes, including a new fly rod and guided fly-fishing trip on either the Madison or in Yellowstone Park by Riverside Anglers.
