About Billings Community Band

The Billings Community Band was formed in the fall of 1983 by local school district teachers. The first rehearsal saw between 75 and 85 adults who came together to play. Their first concert was in December of 1983 and since then the band has performed at least three concerts per season. The season consists of a Fall, Christmas, and spring concert. In addition, the band has played in such other venues as the fair, Special Olympics and for the President George H. W. Bush when he visited Billings. Band members come from surrounding areas like Custer, Roundup, Columbus, Laurel, Warden, Shepherd, Huntley, Ryegate, Winnett, Absarokee, Fishtail and Hardin as well as Billings.
