Vegetarian FoodTok creator @justine_snacks has a few different meat dishes she’d like to try, but instead of caving, she came up with her own recipe for Nashville hot chicken using tofu and plant based milk as a substitute.

After living in Los Angeles for most of her life, musician Maia Sharp moved to Nashville, where she settled in with the city’s songwriting community. She has collaborated with a diverse range of artists (Bonnie Raitt, Cher, Keb’ Mo’, Art Garfunkel, The Chicks), but the singer-songwriter-producer said some of her most meaningful work has been with Songwriting with Soldiers. “I take brief road trips two to three times a month to work for them,” Sharp said. “(It’s) an incredible organization that pairs a professional songwriter with veterans, active-duty service members, their family members … to turn their stories into songs.” Sharp’s latest album is “Mercy Rising.” She stays in touch with her fans at maiasharp.com, as well as Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/MaiaSharpOfficial), Twitter (https://twitter.com/maiasharp) and Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/maiasharpmusic/).

Amtrak already has a list of projects to fund if it gets the billions it expects from a big infrastructure bill. And some of its proposals can be put into effect rapidly, which is a big change from many other infrastructure proposals. Typically, even "shovel ready" projects need years to show results, but some of Amtrak's ideas are "service ready." Basically, infrastructure required for many Amtrak needs is already in place: Amtrak just adds trains to existing operational rail systems. So Amtrak can quickly add as many routes as it is able to equip and staff within a short time.

Andrew Stern and Laura Arias said that not being able to tour to support their latest album, “Long Rider,” has been disappointing, but keeping themselves and their fans safe during this pandemic is more important. The husband-and-wife duo make up the group 3 Pairs of Boots and said they have made great use of their time at home. “We have spent our time writing and recording a new album, for either a fall 2021 or January 2022 release and sharpening our skill set for livestream performances,” said the San Francisco-based couple. “And we created a video series called ‘Cookin'N'Country’, which we shot in our kitchen, mixing cooking and music together.”
