Three-time Club Boxing year-end champion Bryant Acheson will be making his season debut at Magic City Boxing's Thursday Night Fights at 7:30 p.m. at the Babcock Theatre this week.
Acheson (31-4) has won the last three light heavyweight state titles. He will be squaring off against Anthony Sullivan (39-7) in a light heavyweight main event. Sullivan was last year's Club Boxing state middleweight champion.
"They both said they want to fight each other and Bryant has lost a lot of weight. He weighs 185 and Sullivan weighs 182," said matchmaker Jason Partridge.
Sullivan is 1-0 this season, having won a main event against Wesley Hugs.
It is also Ladies Night this week, with ladies being charged $10 for a general admission ticket instead of the usual $15.
Partridge said TNF is looking at doing both a firemen versus law enforcement night and a Rocky Mountain College versus Montana State Billings night this year. Those interested in fighting on these cards should call him at 670-0736.
