SEATTLE -- Gordy Sveinson went 2 for 2 with three RBIs, and A.J. Smith threw a one-hitter as the Billings Scarlets routed the Prairie Cardinals of Post Falls, Idaho, 12-0 in five innings on Friday.

The Scarlets scored eight runs in the second, highlighted by Jackson Cobb’s two-run double. Sveinson added a two-run single later in the inning. Cobb, Jalen Garcia, Collin Maier and Jake McGovern all drove in two runs for the Scarlets.

Smith struck out five and walked just one while earning the victory.

The Scarlets continue play at the Seattle tournament through Sunday.
