BILLINGS — Catcher Javier Guevara had two hits and three RBIs to help the Grand Junction Rockies defeat the Billings Mustangs 7-2 Wednesday night in Pioneer League baseball at Dehler Park.

The two teams play again on Thursday at 7:05 p.m.

Guevara also scored two runs.

After trailing 1-0, the Rockies used a three-run second inning to take the lead for good. They added single runs in the fourth and sixth innings and added two more in the ninth.

Billings scored a run in the first and a run in the seventh.

Leadoff hitter Will Golsan also had two hits and two RBIs for Grand Junction (13-13).

Reshard Munroe and Bren Spillane each had RBIs for Billings (9-17). Zeek White had his first triple of the season while Carlos Rivero had a double.

Seven Grand Junction pitchers registered 13 strikeouts. Jared Skolnicki pitched the second and third innings to earn his first win of the season. He struck out four.
