BOZEMAN — Angela Baumann of the Montana State University athletic department has been hired as the first full-time commissioner of the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC).
Baumann has been the marketing director for the MSU athletic department since 1996, and was promoted to assistant athletic director in March of 1999. She is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Association and has won numerous NACMA awards in recent years.
Baumann was previously the marketing coordinator at East Carolina University.
"Angela Baumann brings a wealth of knowledge, motivation and excitement to this position," said MASCAC Council of Presidents liaison Dr. Vicky Carwein. "She promises to provide us with dynamic leadership as we look to improve the way the MASCAC serves its student-athletes."
The MASCAC is the oldest NCAA Division III men's and women's intercollegiate league in the nation. The eight-member conference currently consists of Bridgewater State College, Fitchburg State College, Framingham State College, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Salem State College, Westfield State College and Worcester State College.
