BILLINGS — Undefeated Billings West amassed 31 hits Friday en route to a 17-6 and 14-9 sweep of visiting Butte in Class AA girls softball at Will James field.

The Golden Bears (6-0, 2-0) notched 13 hits in the first game and 18 in the second.

Kinzee Koch and Deven Creech also pitched complete-game victories for West.

Lauren Blaschak had three hits and three RBIs for the Bears in the first game. Teammates Koch, Chloe Nelson, McKinsey Matthews and Shea Dolan were credited with two hits apiece.

Creech had four hits, including a double, in the second game. Madison Johnson hit safely three times. Emma Balsam, Dolan, Sydney Nelson and Marleigh Nieto had two hits each for the Bears.

Creech had 10 strikeouts during her seven innings of mound detail.

Butte's Brittney Tierney had two hits in both games. Teammate Madison Skeel hit a grand slam during the second game.
