BELGRADE — Belgrade’s Matt Thibault, who played quarterback and safety, has verbally committed to play football for the Montana State Bobcats on Friday.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Thibault was a three-year starter and a four-year letterwinner for the Panthers. Besides his offensive and defensive responsibilities, Thibault was also a prolific kick and punt returner. He returned eight kickoffs for touchdowns this season and had 13 returns for scores during his career.
“I was looking at staying in state,” Thibault said. “It was between MSU and UM and what it came down to was MSU had what I wanted to go into, at that’s civil engineering.”
