SEATTLE -- Montana State's cold shooting continued for the second straight night in a 51-48 loss to Arkansas Little Rock in the consolation game of the Seattle Thanksgiving Tournament on Saturday.
MSU (2-4) shot 37 percent from the field, including just 23 percent from three-point range.
In the second half, the Bobcats tied the score 42-42 on a Sarah Balian three-pointer with 4:06 remaining. Arkansas-Little Rock (3-3) went on a 5-0 run to retake its advantage, before MSU pulled to within 49-48 with :23 left on a pair of Ally Schmitt free throws.
Following two free throws by UALR with eight seconds remaining, the Bobcats had one shot to send the game into overtime, but Balian's 3-point attempt at the buzzer rimmed out.
The Bobcats host host the Denver University on Tuesday.
