Former Buffalo Bills star Thurman Thomas to speak at Triangle Classic

BOZEMAN – Thurman Thomas, a former Buffalo Bills star, will serve as the featured speaker at the Triangle Classic Banquet hosted by Montana State in Great Falls on April 7.

Thomas is a five-time Pro Bowl selection who won NFL MVP honors in 1991 when he rushed for 1,407 yards and led the NFL with 4.9 yards per carry. He gained over 1,000 yards in eight consecutive seasons.

The Oklahoma State product played in 21 career professional postseason games, helping lead the Bills to the Super Bowl after the 1990, ’91, [92 and ’93 seasons. He rushed for 4,595 yards and 43 touchdowns at OSU, earning All-America honors in 1985 and ’87.

A College Football Hall of Famer, Thomas finished his career as OSU’s all-time rushing leader.

The Triangle Classic Banquet begins at 6 p.m. April 7 at the Four Seasons Arena in Montana Expo Park. Cost is $800 for a table (includes prime rib dinners for 10) or $85 for a single dinner ticket.

The Bobcat football team will conduct a limited scrimmage at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at Memorial Stadium. MSU will also hold football and spirit squad clinics on the Great Falls practice fields at 9 a.m.
