CEDAR CITY, Utah -- Jordan Gregory hit a 3-pointer to force overtime, and the Montana Grizzlies went on to defeat Southern Utah 86-74 in a Big Sky Conference game Monday at Centrum Arena.
The Grizzlies trailed 67-64 with 12 seconds remaining when Gregory tied the game and sent it into overtime. In the extra session, UM (21-6, 17-1 Big Sky) outscored the Thunderbirds (11-17, 8-10) by 12 points to pull away.
Kareem Jamar led four Montana player in double figures with 26 points. Spencer Coleman added 16 points while Gregory finished with 14.

The Grizzlies again played without seniors Will Cherry and Mathias Ward. Both Cherry and Ward are out with foot injuries.
Southern Utah’s Damon Heuir led all scorers with 29 points. A.J. Hess hit five 3-pointers and finished with 15 points for the Thunderbirds.
