New Utah men's basketball coach Larry Krystkowiak has added Montana assistant Andy Hill to the Utes' coaching staff.

Hill served as an assistant at Montana under Krystkowiak and current coach Wayne Tinkle for the past seven seasons. Hill helped the Grizzlies reach three NCAA Tournament appearances, most recently in 2010.

Montana also reached the Big Sky Conference championship game in four of his seven seasons. In Hill's two years under Krystkowiak from 2004-06, Montana went 42-20 and earned an NCAA berth in both seasons, advancing to the second round in 2006.

In a news release, Krystkowiak described Hill has a dogged recruiter and "extremely diligent and energetic."

Before Montana, Hill coached at Eastern Washington, Lewis-Clark College and Whitworth College.
