MISSOULA — University of Montana defensive line coach Inoke Breckterfield has taken the same job at UCLA.

UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel says Breckterfield is an outstanding young talent that he feels will have a great impact on the Bruins' defensive line.

Breckterfield coached the Griz defensive line in 2010, when the team ranked first in the Big Sky and 14th in the FCS in tackles for a loss and second in the league and 18th nationally in sacks per game. Montana ranked 103rd in tackles for loss and 88th in sacks per game in 2009.

Breckterfield was a defensive lineman at Oregon State and played in the Canadian Football League. He served as a volunteer coach at Oregon State in 2006 and was a graduate assistant for the Beavers in 2007 and 2008. He coached at Weber State in 2009.
