Over the years college basketball has seen its fair share of unique names. These names are part of what makes the game we love so memorable. I mean, where would the sport be without God Shammgod or Ruben Boumtje-Boumtje? Care for a few others? How about Boubacar Aw, Can Civi, Parfait Bitee, Chris Porn, Chief Kickingstallionsims, Scientific Mapp (who has a song named after him) and Zakee Wadood. All those great names have fluttered through the annals of the top level of amatuer hoops.

That got me thinking, what is the most unique name in Montana hoops history? Have the Cats and Griz had a name that could be added to that list? Well, why not find out.

So we'll start with the Montana Grizzlies. I culled together a list of a few names I thought could compete four our title. This list is by no means comprehensive, though. If you think of something better, by all means, add it in your comments.

We will post a poll for Grizzlies names and Bobcats names. The top two names in each poll will face each other in a runoff to decide our, well...winner. We are leaving an "other" category in the poll in case their is enough support in the comments for someone else.

So without further talk, here is my list...

J.R. Camel George Yule Zip Rhoades Cloyce Overturf Rudolph Rhodes King Garlington Force Baney Horatio Kilroy Naseby Rhinehart Eso Naranche John Bellusci Austin Swig Vassy Banny

Vote away and check back later in the week for our Bobcats name list. Keep in mind you can vote for up to THREE names in each poll.
