HAVRE — Jerry Wagner is returning to where his college coaching career began.

Montana State-Northern officials announced on Thursday that Wagner is the new head coach for the volleyball program. Wagner first coached the Skylights in 1987.

Prior to rejoining MSU-Northern, Wagner was an assistant at UTEP this past season.

Wagner was the head coach for the University of Montana for nine seasons (2006-14), finishing with an overall record of 102-147.

He was also an assistant coach at Montana State, Gonzaga and Oregon State. Wagner was also the head coach at Havre High School.
