HELENA -- Eastern Oregon University, ranked 18th in the NAIA Division II poll, ran its season record to 6-0 Friday with a 78-72 victory over Rocky Mountain College at the Carroll College Classic men's basketball tournament.
The Mountaineers were led by the 15 points of Jamar Johnson. Thomas McCarthy and JC Cook added 13 points apiece.
Rocky, 4-3, received 12 points and eight rebounds from Kale Eike. Orlandor Westbrooks and Anthony Carter had 11 points each.
The Battlin' Bears shot just 59 percent from the foul line and committed 17 turnovers.
"We just didn't take advantage of the opportunities we were given," Rocky coach Bill Dreikosen said. "We had a lot of mental errors."
The Bears will be playing San Diego Christian at 4 p.m. today.
