Sam Honeyman, a former Billings Central and Dickinson State University football player, has joined the football coaching staff at Rocky Mountain College.
The 26-year-old Honeyman will be working with the Battlin' Bears' offensive linemen.
He is a 2004 graduate of Billings Central and was a player in DSU's football program for five years. He later served as a student assistant coach at DSU.
"He came highly recommended from Dickinson, where he played and coached," Rocky head coach Brian Armstrong said. "He's got recruiting experience. He's coached at the NAIA level, junior college level. He's a go-getter, wants to be here, so we're excited to have him."
Honeyman also helped with the football program at Missoula Hellgate and, most recently, was the defensive line coach at Highland Community College in Kansas.
"I'm just excited to be back home," Honeyman said. "I'm excited to be part of Rocky football. We're up and coming and ready to roll."
He played on the defensive and offensive line during his four years at Billings Central. He was a nose guard for his first three years at DSU and a center for his last two.
